TLicense
Had one of these fitted today. I take it the "silent" bit is sarcasm? This thing is LOUD! Whilst enjoyable in the short term, I can see myself quickly becoming tired of this. What's out there, that is a little more discreet? Also I'm not too keen on the pointy out sidewarys exhaust. I'm going to get some piss-taking when I roll up to work with this I tell ya!

Bobbeh
Ti ones are quiet.... until you floor it
Gaz Walker
Lol, oops Its not as loud as the RS-R, Nur Spec, HKS's other systems etc. If you want real quite I can get in the Nur Spec RX which is the quietest at 93db. Gaz.
TLicense
I've been telling myself all day "it's probably not that loud, but is compared to the '87 VW Polo that I've been driving for the last 6 months". Then when I got in, my girlfriend pipes up with "I hope that wasn't your car outside". I'll give this one a go for a few weeks gav, but if it's a none runner, then I may have to sell this one on (loud, oh no it's not loud, unless that's what you want, in which case yes it's perfect for you!), and look at the RX. Bobbeh
Does it not come with a bung?
TLicense
pics and vid with sounds plez! I would do, but I've already had unpleasant looks from the neighbours. Hehe, all but one or two have moved in whilst I've been doing the project so thought the racing Polo was my only car. (The Supra's been off-site)
TLicense
Does it not come with a bung? Nope, some nice instructions in japanese (probably saying "this is a loud exhaust you English fool") a sticker, some gaskets and a few nuts and bolts, and that was it. Alex
The HKS Priest was supposed to be quiet, but I don't know if they make it any more.
Henk
I have one (including cats) and it's pretty quiet as Club Supras go. Confused as to how you can think it's loud......
uzthedentist
mines bloody quiet but i still have a cat in
Homer
It's probably quiet on a stock TT, but not on a single (or twin ). My RSR was loud on the TT, but was far, far louder after the single conversion. That still wasn't loud enough for numbskull here so bought a BL. Now its too loud
TLicense
Quite possibly. I used to have a superdragger with first cat still in, which I guess I'm comparing it against. But that was nearly a year ago since I last heard that, so I may be looking at it with rose tinted specs.
SimonB
I could do with a quieter exhaust, my Nur spec is insanely loud with the single. It's kind of ok with the bung in, but what's the point of that?
SBDJ
I also have the Silent as well, it's definately not, but I actually find it OK, even on long journeys. Unlike my MR2, which I had to put earplugs in to drive home after a night at work
Nic
The new Tanabe Super Hyper Medallion is suppose to be one of the quietest available. http://www.tanabe-usa.com/exhausts/medalionhyper.asp I have recently fitted a GReddy Ti-R , it is one of the few aftermarket Japanese exhausts for the Supra that is road legal in in terms of sound levels. It is relatively qiete...... well untill the wastegate opens
Bob
I find my SHP is fine at idle (once the engine's warmed up), but at anything more than 850rpm very rapidly becomes the neighbours' worst nightmare! That said, it's definitely not as loud as some of the other members' exhausts I've heard.
Wez
I have a blitz RX on order at the moment as these are supposed to be quiet, will let you know when it arrives.

Heyrick
I have one (including cats) and it's pretty quiet as Club Supras go. Confused as to how you can think it's loud...... Same here - I thought mine was too quiet, still have one cat in though...
Chris Wilson
I just fitted a Tanabe to Rush's car, ultra quiet, excellent fit, nice build quality, very unrestrictive, just as much so as the RSR et cetera, they use big boxes to get the silencing. Quite which model it was i don't remeber, MVP sells them. Listed as below 98 Db I think. My Skline is getting one, if they list an R33. AdzC
What's out there, that is a little more discreet? Also I'm not too keen on the pointy out sidewarys exhaust. My car came over from Japan with a Tanabe Hyper Medallion. Unfortunately it was rotten as a carrot and was replaced with a HKS Silent Hi-Power. I have to agree that the Tanabe was much more sedate and also exited straight from the rear bumper so would seem to fit what you're after quite nicely. SimonB
It was this one: http://www.tanabe-usa.com/exhausts/medaliontouring.asp Does it come with a bung in case it's still too loud for track days Chris? I guess you could make one if not but it'd be handy.
