Jake
Well mate. Last week I was soooooo very close to joining you. The thought of selling the Supra made me shut my mouth and sit back down. How do you do it? I have an understanding and well paid Mrs, without her I'd be fooked. Thank goodness I'm such an amazing stud else I'd probably have not got away with it for the last 20 months. Do you know that they actually charge you more for insurance if you're unemployed? Jake is that Penn Jillette in your avatar? Yes mate. juanchan
I haven't got the finances some of you guys have, but including buying my car, I've spent about £7.5k, not including petrol, since the start of December. It's when you put it in perspective that you suddenly realise "wow. I could have done a LOT with that money". Or spent it going for pointless drives in the Supra...with the biggest grin on your face! DaveK
I've found it's never a good idea to add up what you've spent on a car. At the moment, I tend to think the Supra has been pretty cheap to run. On the other hand, I've only owned it since October and I've paid for : Two services Road Tax Front tyres MOT Front end respray New rear shocks New diff mounts / lower control arm Replacement front calipers Insurance However, I'm not going to add up the total because then it doesn't feel that bad. I once made the mistake of adding up the cost of owning the 964. It was 2 or 3 years after I bought it - and during that time, I used to take it to my mechanic for every little problem (don't do that anymore) - and just the service bills were more than I'd paid for the car!
