Hi all testing the water here. My car is being written off after being vandalised due to cost for new parts plus job - not overly fussed mind as agreed pay out is 10k and it's more than id ever get selling it. It's a '94 L Plate J-spec TT and it ran a 13.6 quater mile at Pod without even BPU.

I'm considering buying it back and ripping it to pieces and using all the cash to get something amazing....or buying it back and using the pay out to build the car I want it to be. Apart from scratched paint, dead passenger side rear shock, bolloxed Bomex bumper and smashed rear spoiler there is nothing wrong with it mechanicaly or body wise sooooo if I was to strip it who would be after what and would it be worth the 'ag ??? !!!

Tis a 6 speed manual. Might I also add I would have been happy just getting it re-sprayed but with the standard spoiler from Toyota at over £850 and the Bomex at £300+ I don't think they will be having any of it and will break the news to me in the week !!!! EEEK

Car got keyed all round and the bumper was damaged so took it to get the photos done at the bodyshop for the insurance and managed to reverse into a fcuking tree the next day !!! Don't know how the fcuk but it wrecked the spoiler so managed to get that added to the claim luckily but the cost from Toyota is pushing the parts alone price up. It's agreed at 10k so I spose I am better off losing it if it happens but really don't want to. Will buy it back for deff but wot to do after is still undecided. Options are to build it how I want and re-spray it etc with the pay out, keep the pay out n strip it then buy something with the cash or just sell it on as a whole car....

That's the reason for the thread, just to see what people would want etc

Sir yes sir lol.

Would be ideal but will be without a car..more importantly a Supe till I get the money from the parts and I'm impatient so might be easier to get rid of it as a whole. Anyway as i said i'm just testing the water at the mo, I won't hear from the insurance til next week and yes Jake, thank fuck for agreed valuation lol.

Had couple bad experiences with insurers tho so I'm sure I'll end up bank-raped by the tossers some how. My other car got hit April 4th last year and I'm still being fcuked about and my company areen't even the ones forking out !!!!

Keep sending your requests tho and I'll update asap.

Cheers guys

Definately interested in the 6 speed gearbox and everything else needed to convert to manual please - pm me if you do decide to strip the car :)

If I was an insurer, which I am to a certain degree, this claim would go straight through to a 'certain' department.

Fill in the blanks at will. F * A * D.

Blimey Greg, that's a bit strong. What's your reasoning for saying that?
