Bobbeh
I'm not sure if I've asked about this before, but have noticed this pipe not to have something connected to it.. any idea what it is for and whether it should have something in it? Its near the passenger side at the rear of the engine bay, behind the dip stick. Thanks in advance.
Homer
My jspec doesn't have that - whatever it is!
Bobbeh
Maybe its a UK spec screamer pipe?
Ian C
I think it's possibly the aircon charging nipple? -Ian
Bobbeh
For re-gassing? That sounds familiar actually.. but should it have a cap on it or is the thing/system pressurised?
Homer
My jspec doesn't have that - whatever it is! I was wrong, just checked a pic and mine does have one, but has a grey cap on it. As Ian says, looks like an air con pipe. see pic
Bobbeh
Thanks Darryl and Ian. Maybe I'll have to source one from somewhere, although I know its not been on there since I've had it and the aircon is still working fine.
Ian C
The cap should have a H or L on it, judging by the thickness of the pipe that'll be the L side, or low pressure. -Ian

I'm pretty sure the caps are there to stop gunk getting in the nipple itself. If you ever need an air con regas it'll probably be best blasting the nipple with an air line beforehand.
