Ray
After putting this on... my car is leaking water! Seems to be below the turbo area but havnt looked closely yet... Is there any possibility this could be the work of that dreaded cap! i heard the springs are higher pressure over stock... any help appreciated Ray
Sharpie
The stock cap is rated at 1.1bar and the TRD one 1.3 bar. I'm assuming that the pressure level indicated is before the cap will allow the coolant to pass to the overflow tank when things are getting hot ?? So, the new cap is restricting the flow until this new higher pressure is reached, before allowing it to overflow and so the whole coolant system is under more load. I guess it's just found a weak spot and taken advantage of it. Have you tried the old cap back on the system and rechecked ? It might be that just pushing that extra load is pushing it too far for your current system (age) ?? However, It might be that the leak is now their and no matter which cap you use will not remove the leak until the leak is fixed. Is my thinking correct ?? Or am I talking cr@p ? (One last thing, you have not changed anything else and are running the same boost as before right ?)
TLicense
I had a problem with my Gt-four where I was losing water and the car would overheat. I replaced the rad cap but would still loose water. In the end it turned out the rad has small cracks in the end tanks which was allowing the water to turn to steam and then blow the rad cap. Got a new rad. Sorted it out a treat.

Grazer
It was at AVA turbos - the local turbo garage who've done a few bits with the sup including fitting the clutch. They do a good job (no blowtorches) but it aint cheap

Nic
I had a TRD rad cap fitted on my fluidyne radiator and had problems with it leaking. The cause was that the cap was not seating against the inside of the rad properly, changed to an ARC rad cap which fitted perfectly and cured the problem with the water overflow.
