badger
hi guys, I've had my soop for about a year now it's a SZ ( non turbo ) and my mpg is shocking. i seem to be getting on average 13 to the gallon. Is this normall?
AndyT
NO!. N ot unless you're 2 x limit everywhere. Several threads about this, use search. O2 sensor could be main culprit.
rob wild
errm no is the simple answer unless your driving very hard all the time. On normal driving i.e. sub May be a dodgy o2 sensor or something similar?

CarlT67
Had this problem myself a month ago when I first got mine, previous owner left one of the sensors unplugged...! Still removed them and soaked in vinegar overnight...
Homer
Get both your O2 sensors out and check them for carbon fouling. If there are any signs, soak them in some lemon juice overnight then reinstall (Do not clean them with water!). If problems persist, let us know
supRo
Check for any misfiring too - on the NA you can get vacuum leaks on the gasket inbetween the inlet manifold and throttle body. Check for exhaust joint leaks too
mathew
so in theory would given your o2 sensors a clean improve mileage? obviously not massively
ChrisSZ
Also, check for binding brakes!!
