cheekymonkey
Guys, If I was to go down the route of either totally disabling the stock traction control or fitting RLTC, can the Trac ECU box in the passenger footwell be removed to make more room down there? There seems to be a lot of gubbins for Trac given that the consensus is that it doesn't really work all that well! James
Steve
I have RLTC, so i have just unplugged the TRAC ECU with no issues.

On a related note - does the RLTC install just involve wiring things into the ECU harness? If so I could probably install it myself
Steve
The RLTC is connected into wires behind the dash board i think.

TrickTT
If you have an auto removing the trac ecu can cause gearbox issues as it uses the trac butterfly to reduce power on upchanges. To fit the rltc, there are the 12 injector wires, plus power and rpm input to be wired into the main ecu, and 4 abs wires to the abs ecu behind/under the stereo.
