Funny thread from the GTROC

I'm not GTO bashing, just thought I'd brighten up your bank holiday Monday :D

Some classic comments:

Your right about that except for the looks, the land rover is far prettier.

"Are Skyline more powerfull than GTOs?"

Does chocolate taste better than sh1t?

Worst car ever to come from Japan.

your GTO as its about as quick as glacial drift !!!

To be fair my friends GTO is pretty quick, he managed a 13.6 down pod and happily gets to 180 leptons and this is only a mild state of tune running about 0.9 bar of boost. Doesn't handle too bad either, all they need is some decents shocks and springs which totally changes it's drive. On the downside the gearbox has to be changed about every other week and he's allways having issues with the thing. He's spent enough money keeping it running that would probably have kept a small country afloat.

got a lot of respect for GTO'S theres some real nice quick ones out there, as for skylines apart from the new ones R34 upwards there tending to be chav mobiles, took my mates R33 GTR out 2weeks back and after hearing all the hype about the mighty skyline lets just say i was disappointed.

just a few pointers about the R33 GTR below

  • Good Handling
  • Bland as shit interior
  • doesn't really look like a supercar more like a beefed up cortina
  • Doesn't get the looks from people especially chicks, and only appreciated by people in the know
  • and requires a baseball cap to drive it.

would have a GTO or a Alfa GTV anyday, may not be as quick but sure as hell looks it:d

Owned a MK2 TT and loved it, handled very well and was no slouch but the gearbox is a major negative on the car :(

Only problem I ever had really was Michael telling me it looked like the fall guys truck.... git ;)

I've got too disagree on this.

Skylines have more road presence in my opinion than pretty much any other car. They may not look like a supercar but to say they look like a beefed up cortina is a tad silly.

I've never seen a chav driving a skyline because they cost so damn much to insure and run. Chavs want 'em but can't have 'em.

If GTO's are unreliable then Italian cars are in a completely different league.

lol, how are you finding it? I've had 2 Lancias,

For a FWD car it's great, just what I wanted for a daily driver. the 20v tubby is fast enough.

Spent hours on the owners club checking out the common faults (quite a list  ) but really is a good site and kept me right.

mate £3k for a gts-t is dole money affordable and tbh £10k for a R33 GTR is well within most chav's reach as most of em live at home with parents so have shitloads of disposable income, comment about cortina was aimed at it saloon styling and tbh u would probably get more pussah in a cortina! i sure did till i sunk it on blackpool beech :p just cant beat the crusader

Must be the areas we live in then dude. We don't see that many Skylines around here but you're right about the GTS's as they're more affordable. I've been considering a GTR again, an R32 this time but I must resist temptation :tempted:
