TonyP
Can any body tell me what this switch might be? I've done a search but can't find aything exactly the same. At the moment it's on. Don't really want to play with it until I know what it is. It might turn the flux capacitor off or something. Thanks

RobSheffield
It might be rear foglight, nos, neons, strobes, dixie horn, LPG swapover, or a million other things, best to find out where the wires go to
Havard
DO NOT PRESS IT!! Actually, I have not got a clue what it could be? Is it not an old immobiliser or something. H.

hiten55
if you unscrew it (i.e take it out) you'll find a hole that the switch goes through - the purpose of the switch is to fill that hole id say (Sorry) Seriously though - ive got a switch in a similar position, asked the guy i bought the car off of and he doesnt know what it does. so im stuck too. maybe one day i'll trace the wires back..... michael
The Japanese often install these so that they can observe British humour at it's finest, consider it a switch for bad comedy on forums.

Gord R
I found a similar switch on one of our GTR's.. thought id be brave and see what it did.. after pressing the switch i heard " STEP AWAY FROM THE VEHICLE" in a rather odd english voice.. pressed it again and once again i heard " STEP AWAY FROM THE VEHICLE" .. turns out the switch was linked to a control box which was then linked to a speaker under the bonnet. Nutters those japanese!
SupraStormRising
I've got a mystery switch on my dash. The only thing I could figure it does (by accident after turning it on) that when I brake it flashes my headlights Maybe the Japanese owner liked to warn cars in front he was breaking???
