Aristo engine in a Supra. What ancilliries need changing

I know these are different.

Water pump.

A/C compressor

Boost pipes are slightly different.

Intake has no top feed for brake booster.

Is the sump different. As the one on the Aristo engine is dinted and I was going to change it for the Supra 1.

I would appreciate a list of things which also need changing.

i think the downpipe off the turbo's comes off at a different angle to the ones on a supra. the engine fan is also different form a supra to an aristo, the supra one is driven by a belt where as the aristo is hydraulic.

If im putting the Supra water pump on the engine fan off the supra should be ok as it attaches to the pump wheel.

As for the turbo downpipes if i bolt the bit that attaches to the turbos before the downpipe, (dont know what its called, the thing with the big actuator on it) that should cure that problem, shouldnt it.

it might sort the problem but over here not many people have fitted aristo engines in a supra most of the time its the other way round, the guys over on the supraforums have alot of experience with that although you can't search on there :(

The turbos must be the same though.

I think I will also change the turbo manifold just to make sure the downpipe will fit.

I dont want to put it all together and go to put the downpipe on just to find out its at the wrong angle.

if im honest i didnt pay much attention to the manifold and downpipes when i removed them off my aristo, only thing is there is less room in the aristo engine bay compared to a supra so there is s difference. The turbo's are exactly the same though.

nah just because the aristo's back in japan aren't treated too well and don't usually get a decent service like the supra does, mainly as its not a sports car and when they come over here the engines break and most people just stick a supra one in as they are much easier to find.No power difference the internals and turbos are exactly the same.

One thing to do while the engine is out, get the sump off and have a look and the big ends and clean the strainer to make sure nothing is clogging it up. Might aswell check it all while it out the car rather than when its fitted.

no need to change the manifold etc as is the same as any jspec tt, everything else like p/s pump a/c compressor fits from the supra, obviously you have to change oil pickup and sump/windage tray as aristo is front mounted sump where as the supe is more to the rear. also water pump as stated needs changing to tt one and tt viscous fan unit unit is required.

simple way is drop a jspec 1st decat pipe in there with a r ring and it will bolt right up.
