suprattgaz
I need to glue the acrylic lenses on my car, and the usual tiger grip stuff is not up to the job. It is to join acrylic (with paint on) to fibre-glass. The lens is quite springy so needs to be strong and permanent. Any ideas on best stuff to use? (araldite...?) merckx
I would probably use silicone rubber, but you would have to hold the bits together while it cures - you would have to do this with most adhesives etc if they're trying to pull apart. suprattgaz
I thought tiger grip and such were all the same type of silicone adhesives. I may not have left it long enough to cure?

suprattgaz
BUMP - anyone help? I have asked a lot of peopole and no-one really knows what type of adhesive to use. Someone must have done something similar before?
merckx
I think the key is to hold the parts together while the adhesive cures, this may take a few days. I'm sure Tiger Seal will work. http://www.u-pol.com/countries/en/downloads/tds/tigerseal.pdf
