pistonbroke
I was replacing the two small turbo coolant hoses that go from the elbow attached to the big top rad hose. The replacement hose I got interior diameter is too small and won't fit. The thing is, the old hoses are knackered and split when I removed them so are now unusable. Anyone able to help me ? pistonbroke
the hose as a whole is the same diameter, so when I bought it I didn't think it would be a problem, however the center is about 2mm bigger on the one thats come off the car. I've tried heating it with a lighter but can only get it half way on before it so tight, it won't budge an inch.
pistonbroke
put the ends in boiling water for a while to soften up when you say put it in boiling water, I put it water after it had boiled in a kettle, should I boil it spaghetti stlye and leave it in a pan of water so its boiling constantly? markymark
the hose as a whole is the same diameter, so when I bought it I didn't think it would be a problem, however the center is about 2mm bigger on the one thats come off the car. I've tried heating it with a lighter but can only get it half way on before it so tight, it won't budge an inch. In that case use a small amount of lube to help it on. when you say put it in boiling water, I put it water after it had boiled in a kettle, should I boil it spaghetti stlye and leave it in a pan of water so its boiling constantly? Just leave it in till it softens
Chris Wilson
Buy some stock hoses, Toyota don't use rubbish, they fit and are cheapish.
Suprash
when you say put it in boiling water, I put it water after it had boiled in a kettle, should I boil it spaghetti stlye and leave it in a pan of water so its boiling constantly? Just make sure you dont put a bolognese sauce on it after, that'll wreck havoc on your engine bay when it dries......
