Chris Wilson
Has anyone got a MKIV TT with an FCON V Pro as a full standalone, and not as a piggy back with the stock ECU? Thanks.

I *think* they are only usually installed as a piggyback on VVTi and autos.
Wez
Mike B runs as standalone on VVTI
Chris Wilson
Can you just plug the stock TT loom connector into them? Do they come with a default map? Just curious, got a car here with one as a piggy back on a T78 single, manual transmission. Not many wires going to the FCON though.

They come with a specific FCon loom, I don't think they come with a default map as the Fcon is not car specific, ie. only one part number fits most cars. Wez
Might be an idea to speak with Mike B or TerryS regarding the FCON setup, Mike also has some other features enabled from in dash switches etc which seem to work well.
Mike B
Mine is Vpro standalone, but the electronic (FBW) throttle is still controlled through the stock ECU. I've been talking to reg recently about how it works and the prospect of a less agressive map recently as although it's storming on race fuel, it's not that happy running hard on pump fuel; the stock ECM knows its pinging and it can't pull it back as the vpro is running the engine, so the smart stock ecu pulls the thottle back to save the engine. It's a good system and it works well. It's just that I have to rely on Reg at RCTS for updates from canada! http://www.monsterhorsepower.com/ There must be plenty of standalones on non VVTi's
