RobSheffield
Im not able to sleep and got to wondering.... Why are engine sizes slightly out? For example, 3.0 engines are not 3000cc but instead 2997cc or something, 2.0 are usually 1998cc Is it because when warm, they expand to be another few ccs larger or what?! Jake
I suspect beause it's the nearest you can get to 3000cc using a Bore and Stoke in whole millimeters. They're not all like that anyway. Some cars and bikes actually have a bigger engine capacity than you might suspect from their name/model/whatever you call it. My CBR900 FireBlade is really 918cc.
