Just disconnect the battery for 10 minutes and switch on the ignition for a second whilst it's disconnected to drain any residual power from the ecu. I don't think it will help though, you will probably need to remove the idle control valve and wash it out in clean petrol, perhaps leave it to soak overnight in petrol. They gum up inside. Blow out with air before refitting. That usually fixes them. Otherwise the throttle pot may need resttting, but BEFORE doing this make sure you have all the info and voltages to hand, and check for fault codes first in case it's something else.
