colsoop
I know what you mean about the shine finish - problem with the polished stainless is that it marks VERY easily and after a while looks bad (spider scratches). With a slight brush finish the appearence of the item looks much better for longer Polished Aluminium maybe but Stainless steel cleaned with a proper cloth will not look spider webbed, but i guess the engine bay covers you are making will be brushed
RobSheffield
Im not sure how i feel about that Bob, dont know if i like it It does look good with the extra work you have put in though, and should be cool lit up

Abd besides, no matter what cloth you have if you get grit on there (even fine) its going to dull. Engine bay covers ?

If anyone wants a full fuse box then i will hopefully have some in a couple of weeks, just waiting for the fabricator to finish them so i can polish them up price? Bob
Ebay link: http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=200100630397&sspagename=ADME:L:AAQ:UK:1 Apparently the seller now has a few polished ones in stock if anyone is interested Just out of interest, but how easy would it be to polish out the brushed finish? Is it just a matter of using wet-and-dry and then polishing mops?
uk-rich
i spoke to col a while ago, and he said it was a ball ache on brushed stainless
colsoop
Yep it was a real pain in the arse to polish, i had a fan shroud made of brushed steel and it took absolutley ages to get all the marks out It depends on how it was done though.
