Mine, not much resonce though. Stuck by my guns with the stock outside.

Doug.....bless you, you sounded so vunerable when i read thread

Not vulnerable, just being polite, this was my first foray into the world of internet forums, so I really didn't know what quite to expect.

I find the "treat people how you would like to be treated" approach works well for me.

And I knew sooooo little then about what this place had to offer and the path it led to the slippery slope. :D

:yeahthat:

Before finding this site (via google) I didn't have a clue what a forum was. It took nearly a year before I started posting regularly here, I was always a bit nervous of making myself look like a plank (now, it's just accepted :D )

When first picking up my car from Paul Evans, I remember telling him "I'll never modify it", at the time I couldn't understand why he laughed so much!

I found the site by meeting another member, dont know who! Had never been on a forum before....no wonder i got told to search lol!

Did the "treat people how you would like to be treated" approach work??? Or have you given up on that now ;)

I liked this quote in Homer's first thread:

"the N/A is more suited to woman, gays and mentals"

Hey Doug,

What was your username before Class One then? Or did you not change it in the end?

But I was right! You can't legally buy number plates without the logbook.

Yes you were right, but the point i was making i belive was that you can get one of these show plates, the same legal size as a real number plate, and drive around without an issue. Thus someone one could very easily clone your numberplate using a show plate and the first thing you will know about it will be when you get a speeding fine taken by a camera in Manchester.

Pffft. You made it sound like you proved me wrong in your first few posts!

It usually takes people at least a week.

^^ My 2nd post, about IT and call centre outsourcing abroad.... how true that turned out to be!

I remember right at the start of my time here, d'Arby changed my avatar and gave me a right good telling off by PM about it. Stricter days indeed - it was only a jap anime type girl wiggling her bum!

Cheers,

Class Two? Dug37?

Class Two???? Pffft. Once a Class One always a Class One :D

More like Dug39 ;)

BTW Doug, is your name spelt Dug or Doug? I've seen you spell it both ways!

Actually it's Douglas. But only my late Mother and my wife call me that. Doug, Dug, it's all good to me. :)

But I'll probably stick with what it is, everyone knows me as that

and I've just paid for some new club t shirts with it on.
