I was doing my weekly underhood check over and found a small leak in the top coolant hose that leads to the first turbo. The leak is right in the middle of the hose and not the usual place of near the joins. I suspect that if one of these things decides to let go, its not going to take very long to cause serious heat issues in the turbo and further potential expensive damage. It seems that all my hoses, including vacuum hoses have all gone hard and will be prone to cracking soon causing PITA boost leaks and running problems So, I've been down to my local performance specialist and bought a load of samco piping, I'll be replacing the vacuum pipes, cooland pipes and all the stuff to the VSV's etc etc.... Then for the coolant pipes to the turbo, just generic pipe that they stock that cost me nothing.
