lambertpig
i really feel like banning wife to be from driving my babies only had those lovely chrome work split rims on the aristo less than 2 weeks and she has curbed them 3 times already(they were as new). 2 are now rashed not as if they are a £50 refurb either. really pissed off but what can you say she is so carefull with her clothes they never get a mark on them and if she scratches a shoe then its a big drama. yet £2000 wheels it like "oh well"
DaveK
I am happy to let my g/f drive my cars. But I've told her that if she kerbs the wheels on the Porsche, she pays to have them repaired.

Chris Wilson
Put her favourite jumper on boil wash and spill some bleach on her best shoes. Don't take any *rap from them, they only get worse if you are nice to them

Havard
My wife can drive the Supra but doesn't!! She knows that if she ever kerbed my wheels, she shouldn't bother coming back!! Well at least until my supply of clean clothes runs out.......... H.

lambertpig
when she finishes curbing them how much would a refurb stand me on this type of wheel?
Chris Wilson
a few years ago i'd say Chris was exaggerating. now i know this is true I get it from my father. Many years ago, to my mother, when he was doing some re wiring in the house: "Grab hold of one of those wires will you?" "OK" "Can you feel anything?" "No, why?" "No worries, pass the red tape, I know which is the live now, thanks".

razza
luckily the missus can't drive so it's never going to happen, anyway I'm pretty good at smashing them up myself without her help:(
Supragal
Clearly there is only 1 way to even this out. Put on her favorite (expensive) frock and shoes and go clubbing. "Accidentally" fall down a few times. Then just shrug it off.

edge
My gf is allowed to drive the supe but never has and probably never will as she knows what will happen if anything was to get bent. But she has now been trained in the not kerbing of wheels as she prefers a hassle free life.
jase_93tt
Id never let any woman loose in a performance car, unless its V-B-Henderson The missus sits on the passenger seat (and sometimes the bonnet!) - buts that about it. AFAIK, she hasnt even touched the keys to my supe ....
