jeremyh
As per my previous thread: http://mkivsupra.net/vbb/showthread.php?t=109271 Here's the hose which has caused all that fuss: http://81.149.22.169/misc/hosehole.jpg The hose is obviously carrying water through it (hence the steam), but I can't see of any obvious way to replace it. It looks like it's secured with a tension clip at each end, but how on earth can you replace all of this without removing half the engine? It's at the front nearside of the cylinder block, if that helps. Here's an edited photo as well: http://81.149.22.169/misc/hoseloc.jpg Any help and advice much appreciated Jez
merckx
It's difficult to tell from the picture, but If you cannot see an easy way of replacing it there probably isn't one. If you can see where it's leaking from then it might be easier just to cut out the damaged section and replace it.
merckx
I've just had a look at mine, it's only about 5 inches long. A pair of long nose pliers will do the job, squeeze the clips together and pull them along the pipe. A liddle fiddly but not that difficult. jeremyh
That's the one! I hadn't thought of pulling the clip along the pipe - I had visions of paying a garage a fortune to remove half the engine.
