lust2luv
This past week I've noticed I can feel quite a strong vibration through my left foot when resting it on the footrest next to the clutch. Starts when I turn the engine on and goes away within a mile or so of driving. Can feel it in neutral and in gear. Any ideas what on earth this could be? Chris Wilson
Have a PROPER look at your crank damper!
Jake
Also worth checking that the viscous fan hasn't seized. That can cause some vibration/lumpyness at low revs.
lust2luv
Have a PROPER look at your crank damper! I would if I knew where it was!? (total noob mechanically). What exactly should I be looking for? Will check fan, but it's not just at low revs and goes away quickly once driving.
TT-DEK
If all these are ok? get someone to look at your engine mounts?.
lust2luv
Okay, update. Fan's fine. Crank damper - took attached pic, think this is the right doodah, not easy to take a photo of. How does it look? Chris? Anyone? Haven't had any squealing at all.
