I have not had my tt J-spec auto long, an only use as a weekend

 

toy but looking on the search iv found that some of you are

 

getting 200-250 miles to a full tank an im gettin nothin like that!!

I've just got 400 km on a tank but that was with a good motorway journey included, knocking about town I usually get 300ish. Not to good but you have got 300+ hp.

 

You could try the lemon juice trick on your O2 senser if you have a j-spec or O2 sensors x 2 if you have UK spec. I've just done mine and I think it's helped but that maybe wishful thinking:)

 

Basically you remove the O2 sensor and leave it submerged in lemon juice overnight and it's ment to clean any crap out of it.

 

The sensor on a j-spec is just under the exhaust heat shield above the first cat, it has a wire coming off it that goes to a connection on the front of the engine. The sensor is held on by 2 nuts.

Thanx 4 that will try the lemon test at the weekend if it could

 

only that, but i will be honst i do boot it every now an agen but

 

very rearly as i live in abuilt up area......thanx

If the majority of your driving is around town, then you'll see less mpg's.

 

If the O2 sensor hasn't been changed for a few years then fit a new one, it will pay for itself in fuel savings very quickly.
