iain_spen
I'm still pretty new to supras and I've been doing some extra reading up on the TT's Is there much of an obvious power diff between driving a Import/UK spec?... It's just that I never new there was a bhp diff between them.
dangerous brain
Oh here we go lol. If you want some seriously extensive reading do a search on this topic or browse the board in general and you will find a veritable wealth of info on this topic. To put it niceley though none of it is conclusive and neither side will admit defeat!!!!

They just quoted 280bhp to avoid breaking the Japanese "gentlemen's agreement" not to build cars with more than 280bhp. Stock cars of both types have been dyno'd and produced roughly the same power. Do a search and you'll find many many threads about this!
Bobbeh
I think the consensus is that with the J-spec you get a smoother early spool, and with the UK's u get the stronger kick when #2 comes online. (trying to keep it simple and friendly here hehe)
iain_spen
well i'm going to do some more investigating, but i'll definitely be part ex'ing my n/a for a tt by the end of the year. I'm after an auto and it looks like Vine Place in Durham always have a decent supply in
GeordieSteve
I'll sing the praise of Vine Place. Mine was sat stock and they had a veilside kit sprayed and fitted and a set of 18's on within a week. Very friendly... a little expensive but worth it! If you tell em EXACTLY what you want they'll hunt for one to match your specs. Ask for Paul

green_dragon
I bought my TT from Vine Place, and I would always recomend them. I agree about being expensive but you get what you pay for from there:)
