grahamc
could probably go single, but I am not sure you could much of the extras that are needed. Fueling, ecu, braking, suspension, cooling, the list goes on. what is currently on your car? what do you want from the car?
garetheves
Why not buy a runaround so you dont put the mileage and stress on the Supra.

turbonut
You can give it to me and I'll go single
grahamc
just saw that you have some fueling mods to fit. what are you going to use to control? so with all that, could probably go single... but does the budget include the increase in insurance??? ADD
Im currently trying to get hold of an ECU but not sure which to get.... was thinking a EMU. ive already got a run around so dont need to worry about that....but i didnt think about the premium increase and im only 23.... i just want more power really, ever since i went bpu (ish) ive not been that impressed, possibly coz its never boost 100% right, 1 of many reasons why its with Mark. The only thing i think i'l need extra for a single apart from the ecu is brakes, ive got everything else. what sort of single could i get for that money? bolarbag
You could buy the parts...turbo, fuel system, ems, maybe some reliable mods like uprated radiator, fmic e.t.c I think an extra 2K would be fine for it istalled, as long as everything went for ya As for what turbo you could get for that, there are plently from the 1K to the 3K mark, pricier aint always the best! But you gotta decide if your going for big power or response...or a bit of both The Dollar is good for us Brits at the MO, and best bang for your buck is defo in the U.S now, shipping typically takes around 2weeks, and slap on about 50quid delivery per thousand gbp
grahamc
at 23 driving a single turbo, I would check the insurance first mate. could be a major pain! in that case, I would go my route, which is all the parts that can be done, cams (400), fueling(750), induction, exhaust, ecu(1500 installed and mapped), etc... oh, and hybrids... what about IanCs old ones?? They still around? Personally I went for the LINK ecu, completely stand-alone, lots of extra features, not as good as the AEM, but not as pricey either. Was kind of over kill for what I want from my car.
Gazboy
TerryS, Alex & IanC and other tech bods made an interesting thread about the bare minimum you need for a single set-up, dig it out it's well worth having a read. Upgrade the brakes though eh.
