Sheefa
Great to meet you too Dodgy and thanks again for getting me out of the shit with the 02 sensor - although is pretty irrelevant now anyway! Apologies for not being able to spend longer chatting - I was running around like a blue ass fly yesterday. Bob, would love to buddy. I reckon I could of given the VSOS a shot myself (with the right tools), but lack of garage and mainly a lack of time means I would of had no chance of getting this done in time for the Dragonball mate. If I can't get her ready for the Dragonball, you are welcome to have the two tickets my mate and I had paid for buddy FOC. I know you said you were skint and couldn't afford this, so if I can't go, you deserve the chance! Thanks, Greg
Pete
If I can't get her ready for the Dragonball, I'm sure you will, you need a good blow out. I'll contribute a couple of pints to drown your sorrow.
Ric
im nowhere near as in the know as the turbofit team but.. how does a problem lead down to valve stem seals if it doesent smoke on startup or a blip of the accelerator after a bit of idling? Good to meet you, briefly yesturday greg
Sheefa
Thanks Pete - here's hoping mate. Ric, good to meet you too and again, apologies. I think Bob explained what can cause the difference in smoking on the VSOS on the following thread: http://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/showthread.php?t=108728&page=2 Looks like different seals can cause different symptoms, i.e. ones left open overnight where the oil can leak through causing smoke on startup, or a slightly weak seal that perhaps shows itself whilst on the run for 15mins or so - who knows!!!? Sorry I couldn't give you a real blast, was just a bit wary about the oil exiting my exhaust and frying something else! Next time though I'll hopefully have a well setup BPU++ that I'll give you a run in. Still, you can appreciate the TT power
