MrRalphMan
My son wants to get a Wii, now he has enough money saved up, just wondering if you lot think it's worth it. Wouldn't mind getting it chipped also, just so he can play his 'backed up' games.. I am just worried that he'll get bored with it after a while. SupraStormRising
I bought mine for £250 off of Flea bay and must say not dissapointed even the other half plays it and my mum played it and now wants one and she's in her 50's (not to say that's a bad thing) It is so unique you won't get bored of it as it is just so much fun to play, plus Wii Sports boxing one of the games that comes with it is good exercise So I definately think he should get it... DaveK
It's an interesting sign of the times. A few years ago, parents were concerned their kids spent too long playing video games. Now they're concerned they won't spend enough!
MrRalphMan
It's an interesting sign of the times. A few years ago, parents were concerned their kids spent too long playing video games. Now they're concerned they won't spend enough! True, maybe it'll get him off of Runescape.. He is still a footy nut and normally spends ages kicking a ball around in the garden. Sounds good, just need to find one now. Kash, thanks for the offer, if I cannot find one I might take you up on that.
Soonto_HAS_soop
Buy one from German Amazon, it's where I got mine from, it turned up in 3 days and was cheaper than the RRP for the UK. You just need to use a euro plug adaptor on the power supply. Mines been working fine since I got it. In fact, I'm going to go and play Tiger Woods 2007 now. Seb
Wii is worth every penny - you won't regret buying one! The nintendo Wii, can you play all games ? From the US,Japan and such ? Or do you need to get it chipped ? You need to get it chipped Ulrik - search for Wii Key on Google, it's one of the few mod chips available at the moment, though not sure it will play all import games though. MrRalphMan
Cheers dude, Even the Mrs it getting a little excited about getting one. Been reading up on the Wii Key, but not sure where I could go to get it fitted. My son is also a little worried about getting someone to fiddle, his work not mine, with the console. I'm going to get the Component Cable for it and he might get another controller. Anything else that's fun to get for it?
SupraStormRising
For a bit of mindless cheap fun you could buy Rampage total destruction £19, sure your son would enjoy it. Imagine the original but in 3D, also Red Steel is good you wave the controller around to sword fight, it's a great fun FPS Oh and for an extra controller get Wii play same price as a controller but you get a game and a controller. However you will need to buy an extra nun-chuck for the second controller... Phew think that's it

SupraStormRising
No Worries, i'm sure once it arrives you'll have as much fun as your son as it brings out the inner child, not that it needs much persuasion in us men
