MikkyB
My flatmate's sodding cat has bought in a pair of chicks, both seem a similar type and both still seem capable of movement. They have small feathers on some parts of their body, and two lines in a V shape running down their breast. They also have black eyes that arent opening and funky afro tufts! Simply put, is there anything I can do for the poor fellas, and if not, whats the most humane way of putting them to rest - as I cant see them surviving without help! DaveK
It is 99% likely they will die of shock over night.
MikkyB
Its also 99% likely that the cat is going to get booted if I see it this evening! Ive put them in a tupperware box filled with tissues and left them somewhere warm, at least they won't die alone.

Chiefgroover
They are still alive, being indoors usually kills birds overnight, fright etc, but if they are that young it wont make any difference, they may be fine, the worms idea is good, keep them down low in case they walk and fall off something. If the survive 24hrs they will most likely be fine, but you may have to wait a while until they are fit to be set free. Ask around of there are any local bird keepers, tropical birds and the like, they may take them.

Glosphil
He threw them in the rubbish ? wtf? Get them out then, and take them to an RSPCA rescue centre. They are living animals and as the owner of the cat, you have a duty... get on with it

Graham S
Wtf?? Did he know they were still alive? What a heartless tit! I think as Glosphil said, call the RSPCA or a vet or something, or do a search on the net for some advice...

Chewie
Sadly it's what cats do. I use to have a blackbird nest in the garden and with a pond I get loads of birds flocking in. That was until two new neighbours moved in with cats. The nest is gone and my garden is one big pussy magnet. I haven't seen any tits for ages even though I leave my nuts out. Too much pussy, not enough tits and need bigger nuts.

dazla
In future if anyone finds a baby bird in need of help. simply mash up some white bread and milk and feed it with a syringe. leave in a box outside well covered and its mother of father will hear its calls. Done it loads of times. R,I,P little chicks.
