Help - bird trouble!

My flatmate's sodding cat has bought in a pair of chicks, both seem a similar type and both still seem capable of movement.

They have small feathers on some parts of their body, and two lines in a V shape running down their breast. They also have black eyes that arent opening and funky afro tufts!

Simply put, is there anything I can do for the poor fellas, and if not, whats the most humane way of putting them to rest - as I cant see them surviving without help!

They are still alive, being indoors usually kills birds overnight, fright etc, but if they are that young it wont make any difference, they may be fine, the worms idea is good, keep them down low in case they walk and fall off something. If the survive 24hrs they will most likely be fine, but you may have to wait a while until they are fit to be set free. Ask around of there are any local bird keepers, tropical birds and the like, they may take them.

Sadly it's what cats do. I use to have a blackbird nest in the garden and with a pond I get loads of birds flocking in. That was until two new neighbours moved in with cats. The nest is gone and my garden is one big pussy magnet. I haven't seen any tits for ages even though I leave my nuts out. Too much pussy, not enough tits and need bigger nuts.

In future if anyone finds a baby bird in need of help. simply mash up some white bread and milk and feed it with a syringe. leave in a box outside well covered and its mother of father will hear its calls.

Done it loads of times.

R,I,P little chicks.:(
