Sheefa
Yeah good point Hoff. To be honest I would consider an N/A, but I'd still need to walk away with £6k really to pay off the debts. Just looking at BMW 1.8s on Fleabay at the moment
Pete
Get out there and start selling your body. You're a good looking fella I'm sure you could get enough to cover you c/card bill each month! Stick an advert in the For Sale section. One barely used body for sexual deviances. Features: similar to Stiffler. Styling: questionable. Bob
Sorry to hear this Greg Was it the turbos as we thought?
Guest gzaerojon
Mate that sucks don't do anything rash though, there's always a way round it. would a consolidation loan not buy you some time and lower the interest? then later on perhaps add it on the mortgage? i hope you don't sell mate
RobSheffield
Greg, id advertise it at £8500, but be prepared to take a little less, and pop it on here at say £8000 ono. My reasoning being that it does have Hybrids and a few choice mods too (RLTC, Nicely specced BPU, Bluetooth, satnav need i go on?!)
rovervi
bad times mate, hope it turns out for the best i would put it on piston heads for 9k and see what interest you get you never know there maybe someone waiting for your exact spec/price
tbourner
The more I think about it the more I realise it is pretty much exactly what I would be looking for in about a years time, just without being manual. Do autos only go for less because people don't realise how good they are? As mentioned, stick it up for £8.5k or £9k on a few sites, see what response you get. Guest gzaerojon
Do autos only go for less because people don't realise how good they are?. i think that could be it, i was almost put off when i bought my supra being an auto, but after i drove it i was pleasantly surprised
Todd
As I was reading through I was thinking I'd offer you £9k (although not at the moment!!), but I assumed it was a 6spd, so I'd say take a couple of grand off for an auto (and I want a manual, so no sale here, sorry). Have a missed something here, an auto is worth 2k less than a manual I ralise it's worth what ever someone is willing to pay but a 2k difference, sounds OTT imo! tbourner
Yeah maybe I was a little out on that. Not sure what the difference is really, if it was a manual I'd suggest it'd go for around £10k, so put it up for £9k and see what happens. Scooter
Have a missed something here, an auto is worth 2k less than a manual I ralise it's worth what ever someone is willing to pay but a 2k difference, sounds OTT imo! Feakins sold his black TT manual for this sort of gap over Bill Prawns (better spec'd IMO) but still unsold Auto...... The price increase is partly about lower availability as well as preference for a manual...........
SIMON LC
I gotta N/A That I could PX with you if you wanted?
Sheefa
Thank you all form your comments. I am already rethinking about it, but pretty adament to be honest that I need to clear my debts - or not go out for 2 years! We'll see. I do have a savings account, but not going to dip into that as my gran specifically said it was for a house deposit before she died.
Pete
Don't forget when you lot are going on about value of a car... 1) It doesn't matter what X sold theirs for, it may have only been worth that. 2) It's only worth what someone will pay for it...and you can never second guess that. Look at the recent CF boddied Abflug for exaggerated evidence of this. Hope the sale goes well for Greg. At least you can go forward in the mind you rescued a Supra and nurtured it back to fine health.
Sheefa
Thanks Pete and very good advice matey. Will always be in touch bud - whether that's a good thing or not!! Here's to the Dragonball anyway!

AndyT
Swap c card to Virgin 13 months interest free on transfer. Bank with Abbey. 5.6% I think on current account. Don't sell car. You know as soon as it's pulling away that you'll be looking for another and all your hard cash will be gone. You've done great things with the car it'd be a shame. Sheefa
is your car done then greg ? Yep, picking it up tomoz matey Should all be running perfectly. Thanks Andy, but I've moved around credit cards so much, there's nobody else left now! I have about 8!
AndyT
Ah. Sorry mate. Oh well with your decent 12k education a better salary can't be far away. So chin up mate, your next Soop won't take too long to get.
JamesC
Why not get a £17000 loan to pay your CC's and your loan. Over 3 years it would only be around £520 which would bring your montly payments down. Student loans dont count as real debt! Thats what i keep telling myself, and it comes straight off your wages so you dont notice it that much!

If I get another loan to pay off my credit cards, I'll only want parts for the Supra, TS front, Do-Luck diffuser, Single setup! etc etc the list goes on, and I'll be back in debt again. Nope, I'm 24 and it's time I sorted this debt out. I'm on the piss tonight shortly so that'll be another £80 down the drain

I'm 25 and i'm hoping if i keep this car instead of choping and changing, and dont spend too much money on it i will have an asset without owing someone money for it! As someone said, get a N/A which is reliable, just spend a little making it look nice then you might save some money. Then be sad liek me, stay local like i did tongiht and then get home for 12 and go on the porn
