RobSheffield
It is a Greddy boost guage, and controller Maybe it is not connected correctly
Lucas
Looks like a very old controller then as the only way i can see it being configured is with a screw driver where i guess it changes the boost?
RobSheffield
Sorry, its a controller for the guage, not a 'boost controller' Think of it like a brain for the guage IIRC the adjusters on it adjust the alarms and display peak boost etc.
Lucas
Ah ok mate cheers I have played around with the adjuster and it moves the needle, so I have put it to 0. Still not getting anything else thou so must be something else wrong as the warning light is still on.
DamanC
boost pipe has probably been disconnected
Lucas
Not traced the pipes yet so will take a look where they are. Cheers
kslb
I had exactly the same problem with mine and it is as stated the pipe has been disconnected. It just needs the pipe located and refitted mine was hiding on the right side of the drivers footwell behind the panel. It is a bloody good gauge and worth sorting. I looked at replacing it but glad i sorted it.
lockys96
mate, try just pushing in the button on the box.
Lucas
Did that mate but when you turn the box off the needle goes right round to the end and sits there. Have had look for a pipe but cant find one. Looks like the dash will have to come out to see what is on the back on the dial.
MKIVDreamer
It looks like it has memory/peak hold functions which would suggest to me that it is an electronic boost gauge. That would explain your inability to find a vac hose - it will not have one - rather a wire leading to a pressure sensor. This will probably be a (mainly) rectangular shaped black plastic sealed box in the engine bay - it will need to be plumbed in via a vac hose at some point - probably somewhere near the stock pressure sensor? Jurgen-Jm-Imports
we had look also and could not find it
TrickTT
The pressure sensor is a small metal cylinder, about the size of the top of your thumb, with a 3mm hose at 1 end and 4 wires at the other. It will probably be tucked away behind the engine, by the bulkhead.
Lucas
Yep you are right. Found the pressure sensor and leading of that was the vac hose going to a T peace witch is all connected. Traced the electrics from the other side of the sensor to a white plug and again connected so still in the dark on this one really.
