DamanC
Me again After my pod experiance ive decided to pull my finger out and get my nur spec fitted. Only problem is, i went to get it fitted by GBH motorsport a couple of weeks ago and its miles out. It was around 6pm so we laughed it off. The nur spec came from a supra (UK Auto) so im pritty sure its not the exhaust thats the problem. It would lead me to believe my decats are out. Which doesnt suprise me as when there were originally fitted GBH described them "as the worst fitting decats ive have ever seen". Im no exhaust specialist but even i could see that the pipes ran no where near the exhaust tunnel, they were far far too low, so low i can barely go over anything now. I did explain this to the trader i brought the decats from, after all, there described as 'the best in the business'. I was told they all hand low and fit badly and to live with it. My original custom exhaust did actually fit but is litterally a few inch's from the ground. Its not the first time i have have been told about these decats poorly fitting. Nur Specs hang low anyway so putting it on would see the exhaust litterally on the floor. My simple resolution would be to get myself a couple of replacement pipes. Im probably off to Whifblitz in the next few weeks to get this sorted once and for all. Pauls Decats are 2.5" rather that these 'best in the business' ones that are 3". Is this going to be a problem? Guess what, i also forked out having my AFR sensor welded in to my second decat only about a month ago. I dodnt really want to have to fork out another £50 to have it done again so if it is just the first decat throwing everything out then can i replace the fist 3"er with a 2.5"er and leave the second decat in place? TrickTT
I had to have my decats cut and rewelded to fit properly with my exhaust. Cost me less than £30 - much cheaper than a new set
