Ian W
assuming you have an n/a that sounds about right to me. If it's a TT then i think you should be getting more. so....TT or n/a and manual or auto?
pete.w
its the jz80 twin turbo ,ive decated it fitted a blitz fuel cut ,walbro pump, iridium plugs ect ect ,im thinking that my foot should have come off the gas a little to let it go into overdrive what you think ? Ian W
would have thought you'd be seeing more mph than that then mate although if you didn't hit top gear then that would explain it!
Havard
Was 143 MPH not fast enough then?? H.

If not you may want to fit a decent DSC. It sounds rather like the same problem the tiptronic auto Supras have with not staying in top gear at high speeds. bolarbag
I achieved 175in under a mile! Rolling from about 40 obviously, I applied the brakes but the revs where only about 5.5 in Sixth, ran out of road!

pete.w
so if the revs are so high does this autamaticly put the gearbox into 3rd gear hence me problem ? the next time i will manualy push the overdrive button in and see what dif it does if any,
dannyspeed
Sounds like your maxing out in 3rd gear. I think if your in manu mode or o/d off then then it will max out in 3rd gear rather than shifting into 4th. Had mine max out a few times like this:eyebrows:
Soop Dogg
I thought that number was familiar - yep - topped out in 3rd.
csmadmatt
i should hope so my NA got a higher top speed than that as standard hope you figure it out
Ian W
the next time i will manualy push the overdrive button in if your overdrive button is out......then you're basically running on only three gears. Leave it in!
Guest munchie
should the overdrive button be set to on all the time? I only noticed mine has one today when i saw o/d off on the dash!! Whats the little red button for in front of the gear stick?
edge
Surely you accidently wrote motorway instead of private runway?
