rik
What's the score with taking your car for an mot with no tax in the window? Obviously if you've no mot you cannot get tax. You can drive your car to an mot appointment with no tax AFAIK, but is there any restrictions on distance, does if have to be the nearest mot centre to your home address or something like that. Anyone know about this?

Ian W
afaik your car needs to be booked in so they can check that's where you're headed. It wouldn't have thought it'd HAVE to be the nearest but i wouldn't be taking the piss by driving the length of the country either. Thought you were going to bed Ian dammit....couldn't even get one last comment in without being spotted! ah well, night all

Class One
There's no problem as long as your car is booked into a garage for either: An MOT or Repairs following a MOT failure. However, make sure your car is in a roadworthy condition and not dangerous. If it is, and your stopped, booked appointment or not will not stop you from getting stuck on. Jake
You can book an MoT in John O'Groats and drive there with no MoT if you like. Perfectly legal. What the hell does that mean?! you're so posh. It means getting nicked.
