250horses
Did the Santa Pod 1/4 mile today. My first time. Kept spinning the back wheels and loosing time. Best I managed was launching at 2500 rpm (less spin) I got 14.8 seconds how does that compare to other NA's
Trig
Quite normal for an NA. Slightly quicker than me but noticed you have a decat. I managed a 15.11 last time i went.
250horses
15.11 is good, to be honest I only managed the one 14.8, most of my other attempts were abouts 15.4 What revs did you use to take off?
Trig
I was launching between 2k and 2.5k and lifting the clutch up slower than usual so the wheels wouldnt spin. Did you beat any supposedly fast cars? I beat an R32 golf last time.
lust2luv
14.8 is a really good time for Pod - I've always found it slippery there.
250horses
Beat a suped up GT turbo, Clio Sport thing, V tec Prelude. HOWEVER  a brand new Civic Type R beat me
Digsy
I was in the 16's at Pod, but it was extremely slippery, plus it was my first time, and it's a stock auto and I get an extra 0.5s added on for having three spokes.
250horses
Darren, 3 spokes = 2 less spokes per wheel = less weight :D :D
Tom
14.8 is a good time there, Im curious about what time the Type R posted?
250horses
When I did my 14.8 it was against a Skyline GTS single turbo jobby who did it in 14.0. When I was against the Civic Type R, I did it in 15.4, he did it in 15.2. Now this happened twice !!!!! And I got whooped twice by the Type R. Second time I did it in 15.4 again, Type R: 15.1 - he had no wheel spin. I out paced him up to 60, then he would pass, however at 90 (past 1/4 mile) I was catching up pretty quickly. Type Rs seem potent, 200 bhp I believe with no weight. Reckon they must be cr*p round a corner though
