sorry mate, you've either got crap thieves around your way, or you've just been lucky.

I had some of those (identical) on my car - they were gone in less than a week. It really doesn't take much effort to get them off :(

Must have been lucky..

To be honest if people want them that bad they will get them..

(sadly enough same with cars). think it was only kids, but it seems to be enough to put them off and nick them off the skyline down the road or the BMW next door instead!!:D

I bought those ones too and so far they've not disapeared...

Before I got my Sup my flatmate had three sets of alloy caps stolen. the last time I caught them in the act (4 young kids) and marched them round to each of their houses one by one...

The parents went mental at the kids and were really appologetic... not had any problems since.

I think if someone really wants to steal something they will but you can at least outwit the kids and opportunists.

I looked out the window one day to see to my horror a young kid (possibly the spawn of satan) with both feet in my exhaust and was using it as a pogo stick/trampoline!!! So i pressed the remote start button on my alarm, and watched in glee as he nearly wet himself trying to get his feet out.... never happened again!! I use the same method to deter kids that look like they're up to no good :)

I parked outside my Mum's house and whilst inside a couple of kids decided that my rear spoiler made a great seat.

My Mum saw them and banged on the window telling them to get off..........the 2 lads just waved and laughed.

Funny enough when I ripped the front door off the hinges, jumped the bushes outside my house and asked one of the lads at a distance of about 2 inches what the F@@k he thought he was doing the response I got was a little different.

Option C all the way

Well folks, things couldn't get any worse now, I'm in total confusion about the job offer I got and today can also conclude this thread I started.

It really doesn't pay to stop them doing it. Banging on the window and telling them off didn't do anything other than make the hell bent on revenge. Wish I had just let the theiving little B*s*a*d's take my sodding valve caps.

Went out to get in the car and go to work. Sensed something was wrong and decided to have a walk round the car. Was confronted on the off side of the car with a 3/4 inch deep by around 3" dia rock/brick gouge into the side of the car on the passengers door. Plus some deep scratches on the wing. No amount of T-Cut is gonna sort this and I'm guessing I'll be looking at new door skins & wing. I'll post up pics tonight and hopefully one of you helpful people can estimate the cost of a repair and recommend a good bodyshop :( .

They've got what they wanted, was just about in tears this morning when I saw what they'd done.

Needless to say I'm totally fucked off!!!

Its hammering time, get yourself a golf club and smack them...

Put on a mask, and find the little buggers and make them regret it.....Seriously if somone did that to my car, and i knew who it was, they wouldent be standing, they would be in a wheel chair rolling around, and i would fuck their wheel chair up....

So sorry mate, hope u can get it fixed soon...

I chased a lad down the street who had just nicked my dust caps. luckily for me his was about 16years old and old enough for a slap.:eyebrows:

By the time i had caught him up he was crying at the thought of getting hammered. That bad i nearly wet my self laughing. He just through them up in the air so i let him go.

Never seen him since and he only lives around the corner.:D

That shiny pair(there were only two when I bought the car, not even a whole set) were worth a mere couple pounds.

Now they are the most expensive dust caps ever. I'm guessing in the region of £800.

On closer inspection they have damaged not only the passenger door and wing but the bonnet too. They dug into the panels too so I can't see them being beaten out easily.

Does anyone know how much a respray might cost for the panels? or any of the Tayside/Scottish members able to recommend a body shop to do it???

The bloody suspension is now making a funny noise too I'm totally gutted!
