Grazer
Has anyone else done something like this: http://homepage.ntlworld.com/gcsimpson/2004_08_rewiring05_rotate.jpg If so - is there anything to be done with the surrounding hole? I should hopefully be getting my dash painted silver in the next couple of months - would it be possible to fill the hole and paint over it so it looks flush? Sharpie
Or you could put it flush in the dash ? Works well for me
LeeT
miami gt are or were supposed to be making a polished plate to fit into the ash tray so rltc can be mounted
Nic
Does the box not get in the way when you are changing gear? if I'm in the city and changing gear a lot I tend to rest my arm on there, don't think I could live with the box in the way. Mine is stuck to the dash to the right of three small vent slots.

Not really - I usually keep my mobile in the ashtray, so I'm used to something being there.
Barry
I've moved mine to just infront of the gear lever, in the actual plastic surround, but removed switch and let etc.. from the box. I'll post up a pic this evening of it.
Paul -C-
Mine is in the wee glovebox behind the ashtray.
Chris Wilson
I have done quite a few like that. Some I cut the ashtray lid and sealed up the hole (ashtray now gone, effectively), others opted for the cheaper, leave the hole open route. I also fit a few by removing the controls from the RL box and fitting behind the dash or the centre gear lever console surround.
