stylieee Posted April 23, 2007 Share Posted April 23, 2007 the supra has sprung the worst oil leak i've ever seen. got it down to the garage i use (took nearly 5 litres of oil to get there). just had a call off them and they say its coming from under the cam cover, so its a seal somewhere in there thats blown probably. think this is gonna be expensive Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Soop Dogg Posted April 23, 2007 Share Posted April 23, 2007 As Keron said - check for a failed pressure switch - it's on the passenger side of the engine, high up on the block close to the head gasket. You should be able to see it near the back of the power steering pump. (Has a single wire going to it) I had one of these go a few years ago and it pi$$es oil out! Get back onto the garage and clarify where it's coming from. In your first post you said it was coming from under the cam cover. In your last post you mention cambelt cover. stylieee Posted April 23, 2007 Author Share Posted April 23, 2007 its cambelt cover area... typo in the first post sorry. when i was looking all i could tell was that it was at the front of the engine... there was too much oil for me to tell exactly whre though, thats why i took it to the garage.
