Dave F
When I got my soop it had 16x8 wheels all round with 225 50 16 tyres on them. I have just bought four recon wheels in lovely condition and the correct sizes of 8x16 and 9x16 but the 9x16s have the same 225 50 16 tyres as the fronts. I know this is not correct and should be 245 45 16 (I think) but is it ok to drive with them until I have enough for larger wheels.

Alex
Yes you can drive on them...but from a traction point of view it's dangerous. The smaller the contact patch on the road the less grip you have. I suggest you don't drive too quickly or be too abrupt coming off roundabouts etc.
Jake
Dave, You'll be in big trouble with your insurance company if you have a shunt whilst using undersized tyres. It's not worth the risk mate.
