merckx
I'm doing the clutch on the van. The release bearing is the type which pulls the fingers of the pressure plate when the clutch is depressed. How do I release the fork from the bearing in order to remove the gearbox, I cannot see a way of releasing the bearing from the pressure plate. I was thinking you would have to slide out the fork pivoting shaft, there's a plastic cover on the back of the gearbox in this location and I'm assuming you have to remove this in order to pull out the shaft. But this plastic cover is very difficult to get to and I cannot pull the thing off. Any help appreciated.
