Steve Posted April 22, 2007 Share Posted April 22, 2007 Was just do some more Datalogging for another problem i am looking into and i noticed when sitting at idle and you turn the wheel, the power steering pump makes a whining noise. Its not a squeel like what you get when the belts slip, so would i be right in thinking the pump is dying? Steve Posted April 22, 2007 Author Share Posted April 22, 2007 Have tried bleeding it (cap off, jack up front, turn wheel lock to lock) but still does the same. Many are now choked up inside, there's a plastic gauze filter in the bottom that's all but impossible to clean out properly. If that doesn't help look to the pump or rack itself.
