Reflex Casein protein

bought this should arrive on monday, someone said take this before you go sleep and give it a month or two and see if you gain weight, its supposed to coat you stomach lining with gel to slow down the digestive system and absorb the amino acids, any one tried it

Well i haven't tried it, but basically it's a slow digesting protein. Basically over the long time you sleep your body will normally start to go into a catabolic state meaning that after all your hard work in the gym your muscle are being used as energy rather than being repaired. So essentially it just allows your body to feed your muscle repair and recovery throughout the night.

 

I know some people that take it before bed and then wake up 4 hours later for some more, lol.

 

Anyway you should gain as long as your doing everything else right :). Doesn't really matter too much about the brand. You could always eat cottage cheese before bed instead :), the protein makeup of that is mostly casien.

I normaly take 3 scoops of Protein before bed, and some cottage cheese. Cottage cheese only in the off season.

In the middle of the night i get upto pee, and quickly make another protein shake, does me till morning until i can get some egg whites down my throat(Scrambled).

There's an article in Mens Health about Casein protein. In some recent 10 week study they asked men to lift weights then finish each workout with a whey protein shake or a beverage containing whey & casein protein. Those who downed the casein packed on about 5 pounds more muscle. Casein is more slowly digested, helping to prevent the breakdown of muscle.

 

May get some when I get back in the gym, got a shoulder injury right now so can't do a lot...

im 5"8 i think not that tall, but im gona take heightomax tablets my cousin took them and grew 2" tall

 

Same height as me, I weigh 80kgs now.

 

They/nothing else will work to add height if your growth plates are closed. They close in men between the ages of 19-21. I could not imagine how they would work anyway, unless they are eirther HGH (which would be an injectable, not a tablet). Or unless they are an anti-estrogen/test booster (AAS).

Guys, Im a skinny runt at the best of times, is there anything I could take to gain some weight.

 

Im not a gym fanatic, so obviously I know the shakes your on about only help with muscle growth, and hence have to use that muscle to gain the weight, but Im not after muscle so much, even just a bit more weight to my structure would make me look less of a drug addict/stick insect, but I thought I would ask you guys seeing as you lot obviously seem to know about all these various shakes......

High carbs and high protein :) hehe eat as much as you can...Pasta, potatoes and rice for the carbs is good, as for protein eat plenty of chicken and tuna and red meat twice a week. Eat preferably 5 smaller meals a day rather than 3 large meals. Should help you put on a few lbs.
