hi guys, some of you may have been following my other post and trying to give me a hand. basically electrical problem and cant find the fault :(

http://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/showthread.php?t=107484

well now the bloomin sparky isnt getting back to me and my supe is sittin in the drive in bits. I went out and had a look there. looks as though he's disconnected all the alarm and the ignition barrell is all connected up to standard. but the fuel pump isnt getting power and the car isnt firing up.

i was looking all around and found this box linked into the ecu wiring. could anyone tell me what it maybe is? is it connected to the alarm and maybe this is why i cant start the fuel pump? wouldnt think it would still be active if the alarms disconnected but i dont know.

that is a FCD connected to a Fields harness.

Fields harnesses are usually connected to lenghen the stock ecu wiring or to wire in a after market piggyback ECU

oh right, thanks for that! what is it connected up to? is this a reason why i cant get the car fired up? the greddy boost controller is one of the things in the car that isnt getting power to it for whatever reason, so is the controller maybe hooked upto the fuel in any way and because it isnt working its not giving it fuel to start?

thanks again for the reply

Hi there,

:)

Have you checked the wiring to the efi relays in the main fuse box? The main EFI wiring harness, when the ignition is turned on, automatically triggers the other ECU relay, which actually works the fuel tank / pump ECU in the boot. Is it getting power?

Good luck
