Kranz
I wouldn't do it!!! I'm not scared of heights, just scared of being splatted flatter than a pancake inside a CAT after it falls 200 feet..... closely followed by a couple of hundred tons of brickwork

Rob
If he's like most tower-crane drivers, wrap it in paper and lob it out the window! No, tell me that never happens! Fred D used to do it that way on smaller chimneys, he sit on the top with a hammer and bolster and take it down brick by brick.

Charlotte
You'd get some kind of harness wouldn't you?
hogmaw
I used to be a steeplejack when I was young and fearless, walking round the tops of cooling towers etc with no harness. No way will I do it now, getting older makes you more chicken and you would not catch me in that thing no way
Charlotte
We went to Scotland recently and stayed at a hotel/castle type thing for a friend's wedding. My friend's (the bride) room was one of the turrets - we went out one of the fire windows at the top and onto the roof. Now that I think about it, I think maybe we shouldn't have tried our Dick Van Dyke impressions whilst a little under the influence, scarily high. Nic
That's how they demolish buildings in HK, put a couple of diggers on top and let them work their way down. Although they don't use a big crane to suspend them from, they are basically lifted up by a crane and then left to do their thing.
