robin
Hello. I am looking at getting a supra soon but before I take then plunge I wondered if anyone knows any good specialists or decent garages in sussex? I am based in Crowborough so the closer the better. I have done a quick search on past threads and found Woodcock service station in east grinsted have been mentioned. Any others people know of? I have downloaded the what to look for when buying a new supra PDF and the other PDF's. Made a good read and now I know what to look for. Any help is much appriciated. robin
lol.. could be an idea But if I buy a supra I wont be buying a house anytime soon. I dont mind a short drive to get it serviced, its just if theres a major problem it might be a pain to get it towed. Ive got full AA coverage so they could proberly take it to a garage of my choice. Going to look at a supra on sunday. a UK TT auto in dark blue.
Snooze
Can't help you in Sussex, I'm afraid, but sometimes the good mechanics are worth a drive. I'm in Guildford, and mine always goes up to Phoenix in Watford. I have to then catch a train back through London to get home, then back again to pick it up after, but for the quality of service, it's more than worth the hassle, in my opinion. By the way, my Supra (stock, silver, J-Spec, TT, Manual) will probably be up for sale next month if you're still looking.
robin
Well im really only after a UK spec. The insurace is very very good for me on a uk one. only about £80 more then a group 13 323 GT and only a couple hundred more then a group 2 fiesta. The import is well over 1200 more Trouble with being 21. There is a toyota/lexus dealer in T.wells about 10 miles north from me.. they be ok? or are dealers not worth the trouble/cost? Mike
There is a toyota/lexus dealer in T.wells about 10 miles north from me.. they be ok? or are dealers not worth the trouble/cost? They're differ quite a lot.. some won't touch anything other than a UK spec, other are fine with J-Spec (a lot like insurance companies). Give them a call? I found them to be a PITA, to be honest and looked for a good independent garage instead..
robin
I went to view the Supra on sunday but before I even left my house I knew if all was in order I would be driving it home and sure enough its mine now [GRIN][/GRIN] I've done 250 miles in 24 hours already... cant help but drive it. The car is a lovely UK spec Auto in dark blue. Everything works exept for one bulb in the dash and one of the headlights has a bit of condensation in it. Also I think I will put some new front pads on it. Stops fine, but a bit squeeky. Here are some pics. (sorry if there are too many) http://visualplanet.org/supra/supra1.jpg http://visualplanet.org/supra/supra2.jpg http://visualplanet.org/supra/supra3.jpg http://visualplanet.org/supra/supra4.jpg http://visualplanet.org/supra/supra5.jpg http://visualplanet.org/supra/supra6.jpg http://visualplanet.org/supra/supra7.jpg http://visualplanet.org/supra/supra9.jpg http://visualplanet.org/supra/supra10.jpg http://visualplanet.org/supra/supra11.jpg This does mean I will be a payed up member soon. So expect to hear a bit more from me.
