Hi guys

 

Just went to get a quote for my naturally aspirated supra and the guy at the other end told me that it s a group 19, I was under the thinking that the standard supra was a group 16??? Can you guys let me know!!??? Thanks Pete da feet

Problem is that insurance companies data usually only covers UK models, which were all group 19, I believe. Not sure that imports are even grouped by the ABI.

I think that is why most people find so little difference in quotes between the NA and TT.

So the UK models, at the end there, are group 19. The rest (with the G at the end, for "Grey", I think) are ungrouped. So I imagine most non-specialist insurers just use the UK group 19 for all insurance calculations.

typical eh! I would have got a tt but I drive tooo many miles and cant bring myself to pay the daft mpg figures lol (last year I had a 300zx tt - man that drank it up!!!)

you need to know all Jap imported cars are group 19.

my MR2 and the Supra are both 19.
