Geo
i'll need to post a pic with my top off to put you to shame! I shifted a stone and a half between Jan and Mid Feb through combination of eating properly and working on average 14hr days during our busy season at work. Have been hit by a few colds recently as so run down which has stopped me being able to train but once i shift this cold i have i'm back on the weights and running. Got myself lined up for a few tournaments in October now that the knee is all clear so need to get in shape. Got about 3 years worth of injurys and junk eating to shift in 6 months. going to be a hard slog but worth it. oh nicely done there Geo - all weight reduction for racing in the supe will help!! Cheers G Wot comps u got lined up dude?? 6 months is loads of time to get it all shifted. Train hard, eat healthy stay off the bevy. Well in your case, stay off the bevy and strip joints, haha. Yup any weight reduced that helps the Soop go faster is a bonus. G.
Gruggs
Now that the knee is completely healed have been given the ok to commence training again for the old badminton. Have agreed to enter a few comps in the new season and have lined up a doubles partner as well. If all goes well should take me about the full season to regain the ground i've lost over the last few years of being out injured then see if i can start pushing again to make it into the Scotland set up. Just need to get myself back into training. Was easier when at school and uni - used to do a 5 mile run every day followed by a 2 hour badminton session 3 times a week, a 1 hour flexibility session twice a week and weights sessions 3 times a week. and then compete 1 day at weekend. Thats the plan no doubt i'll end up on the bevvy and in strip joints! Cheers G
grahamc
As requested here is a low down of my routine. Right iv been trying to gass mass for a while now and got upto 16stone at one point. Then i though fek it, i wana try a competition so iv been dieting for 16wks so far, 4 to go. Off- Season. Monday - Chest/Calves Tuesday - Legs Wednesday - Back Thursday - Off Friday - Shoulders Saturday - Arms/abs All the above was done with heavy weights 3-4 sets, with no more than 8-9 reps, but with good form, so that i was working the muscle, and not cheating it Supplements - Vit A/B/C, Glutamine, Fish oil, Creatine, Pross Mass shake, Milk Thislte, Amino Acids. I was eating 6-7 small meals a day every 2/3hrs, 2 of them were Mass gain shakes though, Carbs were high, ranging from Rice, Pasta, bread, tatties(Potatoes) and also my protein intake was high, was looking at about 300-400g or more, i was really eating anything, to add good mass. O and i did have some beer now and again, Training My training has stayed the same apart from cutting the weights down a little and working to failure, so that you burn fat around the muscle and give it definition. Although my Diet food intake has changed ALOT! CRAZY!! NO BOOZE, iv had none since 1st January 2007 When i first started dieting, i kept my Protein High, but started to cut down on my carbs slowly. This is the hard bit, you need to try and time it so your eating just enough to get you by. All my supplememts are the same, except for the creatine, as this holds water and you dont want this. So thats been stopped from day one. At the moment due to me competing soon, i have totally cut out all carbs, and im only eating chicken breats every 2hrs, along with about 6 litres of water a day and my protien shakes. This is the hard bit, due to you feeling tired all the time, crabbit etc, as your running of like 0 fuel(Carbs) This uses up the fat stores in your body, GOOD THING! EDIT, Forgot to stick in that i do a 5mile run at 7am, Then do another 30-40mins on tread mill later on at night, that gets the fat shifted. I'll get smoe more pics up once im done with it all, Keep watching. I'll try and write up a more detailed Diet when iv got some more time. Hope this helps some of you's?? G. Chicken breasts and protein... I like chicken, but bloody hell!! Seems well worth the effort, now if only I could convince myself of that at 7am...
