Kranz Posted April 20, 2007 Share Posted April 20, 2007 This fee covers the cost of recovery of the vehicle to a secure compound run by an independant recovery company. The vehicle crime examiner will then look at it there. The owner's insurance company should cover the cost. If the owner chooses to recover it themselves then there will be no forensic continuity, so anything that is found wouldn't be admissible in court. Any vehicle removed by Police can incurr this cost, including vehicles obstructing the highway, section 59 siezures and RTC's. Waste of time as nothing will happen even if they do find the scallies. Once they've found it, just say that you'll pick it up yourself and don't pay the £105.
