michael
I have a car I'm planning to sell on, it's an odd pearl colour with a clearcoat over the top - this seems to have gone a bit freaky on a small area of the bonnet, a bit white in places as if it's lifted slightly. Are there any ways to sort this kind of thing out without opting for a full repray of the panel?
Ryan.G
You can sometimes get away with sanding down the area with wet and dry and then re laquering but most of the time its a respray panel job.

Never do that mate, I done that to my bonnet (MR2) and it looked really bad as it only scratches the laquer and doesn actually get rid of it! and it will look even worse. How about a T-cut? Konrad
Try to polish it using medium cut polishing compound at start and go for fine and then finish with ultra fine one. I recomment Sonus, but you need polishing machine to get effect...

Ric
pick at it for a while, eventually you will have no laqer on the panel in question and it will just look like a faded panel Just mention to the buyer it wants a quick Tcut when you get home
