Another Tyre Pressure Thread

Hi all

Hope everyones feeling good (sun is shining after all). Just wondering if anyone has ever found a site that lists tyres pressures for the different sizes/profile of tyre.

Also does the weight of the car affect what pressures you should have.

I have 265 30 19 on rear and 245 35 19 on the front and not really sure what the pressures should be.

what are your thoughts peoples?

the weight of the car is the primary factor for tyre psi.

Tyre psi for all profiles of tyre should be very similar on the same weight of car.

The reason why most people change the psi from the stock setting is due to things like suspension changes whereby the camber has changed and is causing uneven tyre wear etc.

Or reducing pressures to get more contact patch in order to launch the car from standing start.

Or they increase psi slightly for track useage to even the wear rate across the full width of the tyre. etc. etc.

Best advice is to start off with stock psi settings (stickers should be on your driver's door pillar)... and run them for a while. If you are getting uneven wear rates then adjust them to suit.

Higher pressures to wear out the middle faster than the edges and vise versa for the opposite effect.
