fastisnice
I've had it with f***** mice in my house over the past few months, they are disgusting and i can't face them..I've called pest control 3 times now and i've paid almost 500£!! for both him and these useless electronic mice repellers..Please help! How can i get rid of them? my last resort will be a cat which i think im buying tomorrow. Will a cat be enough though? i've caught 2 tonight! Im even thinking of moving :(
Homer
Mouse traps and some stinky cheese as bait did the trick at my place. It's a little inhumane but the buggers have been gone for 3 years! Failing that, get a cat Is your's an old house and have you located where they're comeing from? Many older places have under floor cavities they can hide away in. juanchan
Go with the mousetraps. MY gf at uni had mice in her house, but after they caught about 5 in mousetraps, they suddenly disappeared. Try and catch them on tiled floor though, otherwise you'll be trying to soak mouse urine out of the carpet for days!
TT-DEK
Cats it is im afraid? Mouse traps also. You live near fields? woods? We normally get them, not in the house but gardens an stuff. Cats bring em in all the time in summer? Im sure you,ll see a reduction of these buggers when you get the cat. I Have 2:D
Mas
I recommend a way I seen in the films ; 1- get some cheese 2- get an airgun and shoot them once they come to eat the cheese
fastisnice
my house is 15years old, its fairly new, the pest control guy was looking everywhere and he closed all the holes(obviously not?) i just can't figure out where else they can bloody come from...We were fine for 5 years until these dirty neighbours from Ghana moved next door(i think they are about 7-8!!) in a 4 bedroom we made them clean their place because it was disgusting..Still problem hasn't gone away.I think im getting some more traps and a cat.Im getting paranoid in the house, i think i see mice everywhere. R3DG3CKO ROB
My cat kills anything it can get his paws on... mice, rats, squrrels, rabbits, birds, frogs, fish... I watched him pounce on a seagul once which gave him the fright of his life when it took off with him attached! He let go fairly sharpish peanuts are supposed to be better bait than cheese for traps by the way...

hogmaw
You don't just 'get' a cat?! Spare some thought for its welfare after the mice have gone. They live for 14+ years, need attention, feeding, vets etc etc etc. Once the mice have gone, the cat stays! Like most people suggest, get some traps. You'll have to get used to removing mice with bulging eyes, broken spines, cleaved skulls and blood. But they do work.
SupraHuman
If the cat and traps fails you can always get one of these.Should cure the neighbour and mice problem in one go.
